Carbon Dioxide for Hospitality
Carbon Dioxide is a non-flammable gas. It is colourless and odourless and non-toxic and does not support combustion. Our Carbon Dioxide industrial gas is a versatile and essential product known for its diverse applications, from welding and food preservation to medical and environmental uses.
Description
Key Features and Benefits:
- Versatile Applications: Carbon Dioxide (CO2) pure industrial gas is useful for a wide range of applications, making it a versatile solution for multiple industries. Its properties make it suitable for welding, food and beverage preservation, medical applications, fire suppression, and environmental protection.
- Environmentally Friendly: Carbon Dioxide is a natural component of the atmosphere and is considered environmentally friendly when used responsibly. It is non-toxic, non-flammable, and does not deplete the ozone layer, making it a sustainable choice for many applications.
- Inert and Non-Reactive: In its gaseous form, Carbon Dioxide is inert and non-reactive, making it ideal for blanketing, purging, and inerting applications in industries such as food packaging, chemical processing, and electronics manufacturing.
- Cooling and Refrigeration: Carbon Dioxide is used as a refrigerant in refrigeration systems, cooling applications, and cryogenic processes. Its cooling properties make it suitable for freezing, chilling, and preserving food products, pharmaceuticals, and biological samples.

Application
Applications of Carbon Dioxide Industrial Gas:
- Welding and Metal Fabrication: Carbon Dioxide is commonly used as a shielding gas in welding processes such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding. It provides excellent arc stability, penetration, and weld quality, making it suitable for welding carbon steels, stainless steels, and aluminium alloys in fabrication and manufacturing industries.
- Food and Beverage Preservation: In the food and beverage industry, Carbon Dioxide is used for MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) to extend the shelf life of perishable products. It inhibits microbial growth, prevents oxidation, and maintains product freshness in packaged foods, beverages, and perishable goods.
- Medical and Healthcare: Carbon Dioxide is used in medical applications such as cryotherapy, respiratory therapies, and medical gases. It is used in cryogenic treatments, laser surgeries, and as a component in medical gas mixtures for anaesthesia and life support systems.
- Environmental Protection: Carbon Dioxide is used in environmental applications such as carbon capture and storage (CCS), greenhouse gas monitoring, and water treatment. It is also used in fire suppression systems, firefighting equipment, and inerting applications to prevent combustion and reduce fire risks.
- Carbonation: Carbon Dioxide is widely used in the beverage industry for carbonation of soft drinks, beer, and sparkling water. It provides effervescence, enhances flavour, and creates a refreshing drinking experience in carbonated beverages.
- Dry Ice Production: Carbon Dioxide is used in the production of dry ice, a solid form of Carbon Dioxide used for cooling, preservation, and transportation of perishable goods, laboratory samples, and medical specimens.
